| After the 9-11 terrorist attacks Citrus County, like the rest of the country, rallied to support the police and fire fighters in the community as well as remember those who lost their lives in the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings. A tearful memorial service was held at Rock Crusher Canyon. | One of the main tourist attractions for Citrus County is the manatee. This aerial photograph of the main spring in the Crystal River, King Spring, depicts the amount of mammals that flock to the warm springs of the river during the coldest months of the year. The waters flowing from the aquifer into the river remain a constant 72-degrees year-round. | ||||
